Keep in mind, all these are still unofficial and havent yet been announced by the studio. Still, it jack frost 2 part 1 be good to see them finally arrive on Blu-ray, given that all of them were released by the studio on HD-DVD along with about 50-60 more, still MIA on Blu. Editors Note: Ive just confirmed directly with Universal that all these titles and those mentioned this morning as well are indeed scheduled for Blu-ray release by the studio in late 2010 and the first half of 20 Expect them to be announced in progressive waves over the coming weeks and months. Finally, it was a pretty good weekend for spaceflight fans: Scaled Composites and Virgin Galactic held their first piloted drop-test flight of the new VSS Enterprise sub-orbital craft. Meanwhile, Synapse has set Vampire Circus for Blu-ray release on 12/ And heres something very interesting on the Blu-ray front that falls into the unofficial category, at least for the moment. Digging a little further, Amazon has also just posted Blu-ray pre-order listings for The Blues Brothers, National Lampoons Animal House, American Graffiti and Hitchcocks The Birds. No street dates are yet listed, but SRP is 98 each just 99 on Amazon. Universal has hinted that at least a few of these titles were coming, but theyve made no official announcements yet. Still, detailed Amazon listings are usually a pretty good indicator that discs are indeed on the way. Fingers crossed, the studio might FINALLY be getting a little more serious about their catalog releases. Itd certainly be good to see more classic films on Blu-ray from them.
