Ive completed 5 games of Civ 5 virtually problem-free, but all of the sudden I cannot get past turn 387 in a game on a The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers map. Nothing has changed on my computer no new installs of anything. I was able to complete a game on the same size map after the huge recent patch. The game freezes after I The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers ended my turn, then crashes to desktop. Ive spent hours in the forums trying every fix mentioned update video card drivers, change graphics settings, run in DirectX 9, run in compatibility mode, etc. , etc. but nothing is working. Im baffled as to why this problem would suddenly crop up on a game that has otherwise been stable up until now. I am fearful of starting a new game, lest I run into the same problem late in the game and am unable to finish. This is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.
